Zombie Apocalypse
Back in 2021, I received an interesting brief from the “IART - International Apocalypse Team”. The IART were supposed to be a national world government organisation, set up to limit the effects of an impending zombie apocalypse. I was told that I needed to design an information graphic and assisting logo, to help and guide any remaining human survivors.
After I had successfully digested this unique brief, I began my research. I started this process by looking into information graphics, learning about the process designers go through to create an information graphic, what they are usually used for, and the type of design style in which the majority of the examples I looked at carried. I realised that information graphics usually possess an organised appearance, to help viewers understand the knowledge being showcased to them. Furthermore, I discovered that there are many different types of information graphics, a few examples of these being: time-line info-graphics, process info-graphic, and list info-graphics.
I carried out a strong illustrated approach within my final logo and information graphic for this particular brief, utilising bright red and green contrasting colours. I also used Adobe fonts during my design process, which allowed me to find various sinister and spooky looking fonts.
